Our new off-premise laundry facility

Emirates Flight Catering has embarked on an ambitious expansion programme to construct and manage the Middle East’s most sophisticated industrial laundering plant.

The new state-of-the-art facility is located at the Dubai Investments Park. Designed by consultants i+o, the facility will boast an efficient and integrative design that economizes operating costs. Built on an area of 10,500 m², the new facility will be operational in Q4 of 2006, and will be completed at a total project cost of Dhs. 42 million.

Initially addressing a 50 ton laundering and dry cleaning output volume per day, the laundry will have the capacity to service 80 tons per day in the future. The new facility will incorporate the latest laundering technology available today. Control and reduction of operating costs and the implementation of efficiencies were the main considerations during the design phase. Extensive utilization of gas will enhance efficiency and minimize costs, and continuous batch washing will reduce water consumption by 50%.
